Read this part, if nothing else

Green Serenity is educational well-being material. It is not medical advice, not therapy, and not a crisis service. It does not replace a doctor, a psychologist or any other qualified professional.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 112, the emergency number across the European Union. Do not wait, and do not rely on this app.

1. Acceptance

By installing or using the Green Serenity app, or by using green-serenity.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app or the site.

2. What Green Serenity is

Green Serenity is a free mobile app produced by the Green Serenity project, an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in the field of youth (project number 2025-1-LT02-KA220-YOU-000349930-E10313203), co-funded by the European Union. It provides guides, nature-therapy stories, video tutorials and a photography gallery on the theme of nature-based well-being and stress resilience.

It is intended for young people, and for youth workers, social workers, psychologists, counsellors, health professionals and trainers working with them.

3. Not medical advice

The content in Green Serenity is provided for general education and well-being. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment, not a therapeutic intervention, and not a substitute for professional medical or psychological care.

Nothing in the app creates a therapeutic or clinical relationship of any kind between you and the project, its partners or its authors. Always seek the advice of a qualified professional about a medical or mental health condition. Never disregard professional advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read or watched in this app.

Some activities described in the app take place outdoors. You are responsible for your own safety and for judging whether an activity is appropriate for you, your health and your circumstances, and for the safety of anyone in your care.

4. Cost and accounts

Green Serenity is free. There are no purchases in the app, no subscriptions, no adverts and no paid tiers. There is no account to create, so there is no account for you to lose, and no credentials for anyone to compromise.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Using the material in your own teaching, youth work or clinical practice is not only permitted, it is the point of the project — see the next section.

6. Content and intellectual property

The app, its content and its design are the property of the Green Serenity project consortium and its partner organisations, except where third-party material is identified as such.

As a project co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme, Green Serenity's results are produced to be shared. The project's educational materials may be used, copied and distributed for non-commercial educational purposes, provided the project and its funding are credited, under [open licence to be confirmed — Erasmus+ results are commonly released under CC BY 4.0].

Photographs contributed to the PhotoVoice gallery remain the work of the young people who took them and are published with their consent for the purposes of this project. Please do not reuse them outside that context.

The name "Green Serenity", the project logo, the Erasmus+ name and logo, and the European Union emblem are not covered by any such licence and may not be used to suggest endorsement.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the service running, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or uninterrupted. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, including after the funded lifetime of the project ends.

The app is built to keep working when the network does not: the guides, stories and gallery are included in the app itself, so it remains usable offline and if our servers are unavailable.

8. No warranty

The app and the website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the content is complete, current or free of error.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the project consortium, its partner organisations, its funders and its authors accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app or the website, or from reliance on its content.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.

The European Commission's support for the production of this material does not constitute an endorsement of its contents, which reflect the views only of the authors. Neither the National Agency nor the Commission can be held responsible for any use which may be made of the information it contains.

10. Privacy

How the app handles information is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. In summary: no account, no tracking, and nothing about you leaves your device.

11. App stores

When you install Green Serenity from the Apple App Store or Google Play, your relationship with that store is governed by its own terms. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms, are not responsible for the app, and have no obligation to provide support for it. Any question about the app should come to us, using the details below.

12. Changes

We may update these terms as the project develops. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of [country of the coordinating organisation], and disputes are subject to the courts of that country. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
